Achievement in brief

Chairman & Managing Director Attend Round Square Workshop in UK
Raju Chowdhary, Chairman of KC Public School along with Managing Director Arti Chowdhary, attended the Round Square Discovery Framework workshop held at Windsor, UK recently. Discovery Framework has been developed collaboratively by an international group of Heads, Teachers and Curriculum Directors from Round Square schools which captures and describes the spirit of a Round Square learner who develops and exhibits competencies and attitudes in relation to six Round Square Ideals, namely, Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service. The 12 discoveries that students make on their learning journey are inquisitiveness, tenacity, courage, compassion, inventiveness, ability to solve problems, self-awareness, sense of responsibility, appreciation for diversity, commitment to sustainability, communication skills and team-work. Earlier, school Round Square Rep Sonia Thakur had also attended a similar workshop at Hong Kong. The key speakers at the conference were Rod Fraser, Chairman of Round Square, Rachael Westgarth, Chief Executive Officer of Round Square and Principals of eminent schools from Australia, UK, US, Argentina, Jordon and South Africa. Arti Chowdhary gave a presentation at the workshop on the initiatives taken by KC Public School in embracing the Framework and evolving its own innovative and creative ways to integrate character education with lesson plans and co-curricular activities. She spoke about how Discovery Framework empowers students to act, build, become, work together, improve and inspire. Paying compliment to RSDF, she concluded the presentation on a positive note by saying that it would go a long way in building a better world for all of us. Rachael Westgarth and other educationists praised Arti for delivering a wonderful and uplifting presentation about the work done at KC Public School. It is indeed an honour for KC Public School that Rod Fraser, Chairman of Round Square, has personally invited KC Public School students to attend the Round Square International Conference (RSIC 2017) scheduled to be held at Cape Town, South Africa in October and has also invited Arti to give her insights in an article about the future potential of RSDF to be included in Round Square intranet publications. It is creditable that in such a short span of time, KC Public School has been recognized on a global platform for its extraordinary enthusiasm for and commitment to the spirit of RSDF.
